The Great Pumpkin! It’s the great pumpkin Charlie Brown! Every time Fall comes around I can’t help but think of that show. The characters always caused me to reflect on the children I knew that could have played those roles. We visit the orchard up the street for our choice of the best pumpkins, mums, apples, honey and jams. Grandpa takes the grand to play on all the outdoor activities every year while making priceless memories. In addition to the corn maze and the giant rocking chair there is an entire village of homemade buildings to play in. There is even a firehouse with a real working firehose for the kids to operate. That place is bustling from September to November and bursting from the seams. So at this time of year as nature is preparing to hibernate for a few months it is also a time for us to reflect on all the wondrous bounty there is to behold. Please enjoy this collection of pumpkin goodness we share in our home.

This is a nice list of pumpkin recipes! All in one post! The Pumpkin Cheesecake Ginger Cookie Crust looks very good and the pumpkin pancakes, too! Yum! These recipes are making super hungry for something pumpkin!
I have been thinkin of pumpkin for weeks. The craving got so bad I ordered a pice of pie tonight at dinner and was SO disappointed. It was soggy and nothing like homemade. Thanks for the kind words. Satisfy that craving carefully!
That is the worst to crave something and then it isn’t good! You definitely need to redeem yourself and eat a dessert that you know will be good! It’s the weekend, treat yourself to a yummy dessert! 🙂
This is a wonderful roundup and I’d start with the cheesecakes. A couple years back I decided to get a fresh pumpkin for a recipe. My kitchen was a hot mess! After that fiasco, I use canned pumpkin. Thank you for sharing with us at Celebrate Your Story, and have a great weekend.
When the boys were little I always cubed the jack-o-lantern adnput it in the pressure cooker. Then put it in a blender with milk and spices. I have no desire to carve or heat up the kitchen. Canned is just fine with me too! Enjoy.
Yumm!! Lots of recipes I’d like to try this fall (and I have enough pumpkin in my house right now to make a good number of them, haha!). Thanks for sharing these, Marilyn!
I am so glad to inspire you Wendy! Let me know what you choose. Have a lovely week.
What a fabulous roundup! Grandpa sounds like a great guy too. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

Jann
Grandpa is a keeper. He is always so thoughtful and selfless. Thanks Jann for all the kind words. Enjoy your week.
Very nice. I do like my pumpkin things.
Thanks Patrick! I still love that post of yours. Enjoy your week.
I love the title of this post and exactly where you went to it…straight to Charlie Brown. That is 100% what I thought of as soon as I saw the title.
Thx Elise. I can’t think of the Fall without remembering one of my favorite movies. Even as an adult I still watch it!
oh yes, the great pumpkin parade with so many delicious dishes made with pumpkin

Thank you Sue. Welcome home!!
I’ll have a little bit of each please….Thanks for sharing at the What’s for Dinner Party!
I know! I hate making decisions, too. That is why we have 3 Thanksgiving dinners over 3 days. Have a great week!
Pumpkin heaven! That pumpkin, cheesecake, pie…makes my indecision that much easier!!
That one was delicious Barrie. I have three pumpkin cheesecakes and all of them are so different! I do like the triple layer you liked. Have a great week!
Oh my golly, it’s Pumpkin heaven! I’m going back now to pin the goodness. And find out what Cherpumple cake is! Thanks for sharing Marilyn.
That cherpumple is the best. My dad always answers he wants a bit of everything when you talk about dessert. Well someone came up with a great idea!! You can’t miss! (They can’t eat it all either!) Have a great week!
We do something similar with the grandkids. We have some local farms that offer all kinds of activities and pumpkin picking. It’s a really fun afternoon for all and as you said lots of memories.
The kids love this time of year. They get out, run around and learn all about the fall. I love being a part of that. Have a great week!
I have a few pumpkins laying around my home that could be used in these recipes. Going to try something – Yumm.
Let me know which you choose! It is always goof to know what sounds good. Have a great week!
