I have often said on this blog that my husband is the real cook in our family and I am the baker and mess maker!
He can stand in front of the stove and conjure up any dish only having seen it once.
And don’t tell him but he is so sexy in an apron.
Truth is, he worked at a diner most of the way through High School and man he learned all the techniques for short order cooking!

They make a delicious appetizer too.

The apple trees at the orchard down the street are just about ready to give up their early fall varieties.
When my favorites come into season my husband and I go through the trees and pick our own apples.
I love the Galas and Honey crisp. But we need to buy the McIntosh too for pie making. And of course the Fuji for this recipe.
And of course my husband always has an apple while watching our favorite TV series.
