Have you been invited to many baby showers lately?
Have to bring a dish to pass as well as a gift for the mom-to-be?
Well how about a gender reveal with your dish?
Let the mom give you hints to make the party a success.
Everyone loves popcorn and gourmet popcorn is very trendy right now.
This pink and blue popcorn is just the thing.
Keep an eye on the expectant mama to see if she is cornering the market on any one color!
Use the answer as a party game and receive some souvenirs in the process!
Or find out the gender ahead of time from the daddy to be.
Create your own fun by having guests figuring out the number of each color in the bowl.
Most popcorn pieces of one color wins!
There is so much you can do. I am sure you can find an idea that suits the occasion.
And the mom can take pictures and later you can frame the best and give it to the couple after the baby is born!
The memory of this baby shower popcorn can last forever!
Use up all your left over snacks. Empty the bags into a bowl and mix!!
Any kind of snack will do to make this easy and quick snack mix.
Use the bite size snickers candy. Add in salty, crunchy and different textured snacks.
And voila! everyone’s sweet tooth is satisfied.
This Holiday I wanted to create a treat that was very simple. Since I was attending and not hosting the gathering, I went with this ADDICTIVE sweet and salty mix.
Just throw it all in a bowl and mix.
For those with allergies you can substitute dried cranberries, peaches or blueberries.
I measured the ingredients so I could give approximate portions, but I ended up emptying all the bags into the bowl since there wasn’t much leftover.
Be sure to have plenty of beverages on hand.
Want a simple low cost dip you can whip up in 2 minutes?
Well, you do need to open a few packages. So make it 4 minutes.
This simple flavor filled dip is perfect for any occasion!
Made with cream cheese, bacon, red or green peppers and sour cream this dip is the answer to your appetizer needs.
It isn’t runny so no need to constantly stir it up.
The cream cheese is what thickens the dip after the sour cream is mixed thoroughly in the bowl.
Three types of peppers give it a flavor.
But the best part is the bacon. Crisp, smoky bacon. It gives another texture to the dip.
Add you favorite chips and the dip takes on a whole new dimension!
All it takes is a firm chip of your choice and your guests will be dipping away!
Whether you choose a taco chip, nacho chips, potato chips with ridges, Frito Scoops, Triscuits or wheat thins you get the perfect appetizer. Anything that works for you works for this dip!
Don’t worry about too much leftover dip. Even though that would be a good thing that isn’t the way this dip works.
There is never enough dip! You will need to keep an extra bowl or two on hand!
My only drawback was finding the bowl after a guest walks away with it!
I have served this dip for showers, get togethers, the big game as well as just a quiet date night.
It travels well and can be used for any dish. The chip can change the whole taste!
Treat your family and guests to this dip for an experience of a lifetime!
The main food groups are there. Veggies, dairy, beans, grains, more veggies.
And the dippers! Great with nachos, pita chips, fritos, just about anything.
Are you a dipper?
Come on, now and be honest.
I’ll even go first.
I am a dipper from WAY back!
It all started with warm homemade cookies.
Then Oreos, separated of course.
Moved on up to donuts, toast with my hot chocolate.
Now veggies and snacks are all fair game!
I think dipping is a comfort action.
When I am cold, sick, depressed, or lonely, I still dip my grilled cheese in a mug of steaming tomato soup.
I have recently developed an insatiable appetite for Mexican fare. I just can’t get enough.
I think this Seven Layer Taco Dip has probably appeared on every appetizer tray, cocktail table or bake sale at one time or another.
Not only is this dip easy, but it is healthy too.
I have made it for movie watching when I don’t have enough veggie leftovers to create anything else.
If I get unexpected guests this Seven Layer Taco Dip can be ready in just a few minutes.
All the ingredients go well together. They can be used to make tacos, nachos, burritos, or just top off a taco shell for a salad.
My family will gather around to watch a movie or play a game just to gobble up this dish.
It is not only inexpensive to make but easy too.
The hardest part is deciding what you want to add to the mix.
How do you dip? Leave your answers in the comment sections and I will be sure to try them!
