Serving This Week 2-18 to 2-22
Pistachio Bread with Walnuts
What can be easier than this bread? A cake mix, pistachio pudding, and sour cream is all you need. Open, dump, mix and bake! In under an hour you have a cinnamon pistachio bread. Add as many drops of food color you want and this becomes St Patrick’s Day ready! For a sweet bread click for my Green Pistachio Sweet Bread! #pistachio #bread #pudding
Baileys Irish Cream Cheesecake
Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheesecake Is a decadent adult dessert of creamy rich bailey’s liquor, cheesecake, chocolate chips and an oreo cookie crust. Serve this at your next family get together. On second thought you better make two. The creamy and light nature of the dish allows for most diners to have a piece after dinner as well as with coffee a while later. BBQ Brisket Shepherds Pie
I have been in such a bbq frenzy lately and I just can’t get enough. I know my sugar level hates me, but I am balancing how much and when I partake. If anyone knows of a diabetic approved way to satisfy this craving please let me know. I saw this BBQ Brisket Shepherds Pie at a local restaurant and just couldn’t wait to find a good recipe. Most of the ingredients list are spices so don’t let that put you of. This is a GREAT dish to make on that lazy weekend and really is becoming one of my comfort foods. The brisket, mashed potatoes and peas are all the veggies and carbs you need. And BONUS!!!!! The homemade BBQ sauce can be used on anything! I made a double batch since I just know it will get used again soon. Enjoy!! And I have the Crock Pot version included! For a bit of a sweeter BBQ sauce try my Coca Cola BBQ Sauce. You had me at Baileys! We make a Baileys chocolate cake every year but since my son is a cheesecake fan… he might vote out the cake for this one 🙂 Thanks Marilyn!
I hope he enjoys the cheesecake Chas! I have another one on the blog with a graham cracker crust and adding chocolate chips to the mix. Enjoy!
