Come and see what I will be cooking up on Marilyns Treats this week!
This is what I featured the week of 10-28 to 11-1 on my blog. On Tuesday morning was a Raspberry Custard Pie. Wednesday I posted a Blackberry Cobbler. Wrapping up this week of fruity pies, cobblers and tarts I highlighted a Key Lime Tart. Enjoy!

Do you remember the custard pie your grandmother would make? She served it topped with nutmeg and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Truth be told though, I never took a piece of there was fruit pie available. There is something about the color and “taste of spring” a good fruit pie brings to the table. This one is a perfect combination of both fruit and custard. Fresh from the bush, these raspberries make this custard pie pop!
This time of year in Michigan the fresh fruit is just hanging from the tree and vine waiting to be plucked. We had a chance for fresh blackberries and I jumped on it. This cobbler is so special in the fact the berries are the only real filling in the cobbler. No sweet thick juices, jams or jelly. It is the berries themselves that make this cobbler so good. Served warm you find yourself finishing his dessert in no time at all. Add some whipped cream and vanilla bean ice cream and you will think you have died and gone to heaven.
A perfect creamy blend of sweet and tart will make your mouth water as you take the first fork full of this homemade tart. Easy to find ingredients as well as basic baking skills allow even the novice baker to create a masterpiece both family and guests will rave about. Individual pies makes extra helpings seem so natural and allows everyone to enjoy your creation without guilt and embarrassment. You simply must try this recipe at least once. I guarantee that you will keep making this tart as it becomes your very own signature dish. When this pie was featured on The Daily Meal it received over 10,000 pageviews the first hour! Let’s see it take down my server!
