Come and see what I will be cooking up on Marilyns Treats this week!
This is what I featured the week of 10-21 to 10-25 on my blog. On Tuesday morning was a Smores Milkshake. Wednesday I posted an Insane Zany Brownie Brookie. Wrapping up this week of pre-Halloween treats I highlighted a Cheesecake Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar . Enjoy!

Serving This Week 10-14 to 10-18
Do you hear your kiddos yelling “Mom I want some more!” when you offer them a treat?
This is one time you will say yes. Shakes are so easy to make and offer and this one only needs 6 basic ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
Smores are definitely a creation common to the States but easily made and enjoyed anywhere. The marshmallow fluff, chocolate chip ice cream and a bit of milk will satisfy any need.
For that something different add the toasted marshmallows and garnish with shaved chocolate and a bit of graham crackers. Using teddy grahams will make those little ones squeal with delight! #smores #milkshake #icecream #marshmallows
Insane Zany Brownie. What do you get when you add together a hungry college kid, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and a chocolate glaze? You get these! You heard of the Freshman 20? Well, if those college boys keep snacking like this, they are going to add on the Freshman 50. Please heed the DIABETIC OVERLOAD WARNING when choosing to make this recipe. I never promised this was healthy!
The peanut butter in the chocolate chip cookie dough is a great foil for the chocolate brownies. You may notice your family making a few more trips to the kitchen. These brookies will be gone by the third or fourth trip.
Make sure to hide 2-3 bars for yourself. They really are that delicious.
I have changed up this recipe from the first time it was published in Oct 2014. I have included the original fast and lazy way of making these Brookies. As I perfected my cook book reading I came upon this recipe as stated below.
Cheesecake Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
These delicious chocolate chip cookie bars looked so yummy that I had to include them tonight! Yes, that’s a cheesecake layer in the chocolate chip cookie bars. Does it look delicious? It is. Believe me. They’re every bit as satisfying as they look.
I love bar cookies. They are easy enough to make. You can’t mess up when you cut them. And they are easy to hold in your hand.
Anyone that has read my blog longer than 5 minutes already know I am known for my cheesecakes.
These bars will not disappoint anyone that grabs a bar from the counter. Be rady with a double batch so you are sure to get one too!
Delicious Marilyn as always! All of those recipes sound delightful …. the brownies might be the first ones we try. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Chas for your opinion. It always tickles me to know my recipes are well received. Enjoy your week!
