Patriotic Trifle Weight Watchers

This Angel Food Cake Trifle is Sugar Free, Fat Free and Gluten Free.

It is also from Weight Watchers!

You don’t even need to make the cake! Store bought works just as well for this recipe.

This trifle is so easy to put together. Even more so when you use a store bought angel food cake and premade pudding mix.

Add thawed Cool whip and all you need to do is wash your berries and layer!

These are the INGREDIENTS you will need:

  • 1 pkg 3 oz. JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Sugar Free Fat Free Instant Pudding
  • 1.5 cups Cold fat-free milk
  • 1 tub 8 oz. COOL WHIP LITE Whipped Topping, thawed
  • 1 pkg 13 oz. angel food cake, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (about 6-1/2 cups)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries

These are the INSTRUCTIONS for preparation:

  • Beat pudding mix and milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP.
  • Layer half of the cake and half of the berries in large serving bowl. Cover with the entire pudding mixture. 
  • Top with layers of remaining cake, berries and COOL WHIP.
  • Place strawberries and the strawberries green leaves on top.
  • Refrigerate 1-2 hours before serving.

NOTES:

Substitute sugar free cream cheese pudding for vanilla

Your youngsters would be proud to put this trifle together while you whip up a nice cold potato salad.

How about putting together a fresh fruit salad with the left over berries and a few add ons such as pineapple, banana, or grapes.

What a perfect dish to take for the table on a National Holiday.

Whether it be Memorial Day, 4th of July or Labor Day the Patriotic Trifle is a great way to show your Patriotism and also stay on your diet.

The fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries will satisfy even the pickiest eaters.

This colorful Patriotic Trifle is not only healthy but satisfies requirements for many dietary restrictions.

Your gluten free, dairy free, and meat free can freely partake of your trifle and not feel guilty.

This is a Weight Watcher recipe after all.

    That sounds delicious! We were just trying to come up with a dessert for Father’s day next weekend and we were thinking of making strawberry shortcake using angel food cake instead but I think this will be our new plan now. YUM! I love trifle cakes. Pinned.
