Now for the news around here.
How was your week??
For a change mine was a bit slow.
Other than one Dr appointment I was able to stay stress free and home.
This Mac is getting easier. And I didn’t refer to my phone except to run through social media and read my feed and take care of notifications, shares and likes.
I am still missing many of those on the Mac when I check my accounts. I think that is the hardest for me to get the hang of. But it will come.
Now that I have had a whole week to “do my blog thing” as they call it around here, things are getting easier.
I love to make notations for everything step by step since I can’t remember from one task to the next what I just did. Then I just need to find where I documented everything. Organizing those is next.
Can any of you relate?
I don’t turn on TV except for the end of the night to see local news and ONE channel of world news.
I keep up but don’t get oversaturated. And I try to watch news that is simple and lets me decide how to sort things out.
I don’t go crazy that way and sleep much better.
Things shouldn’t have to be so hard.
I long for my 20-60’s when I was so busy I barely knew what the world was doing. I guess since I am home more and the kids are around there is more awareness.
I let them worry and ask me about things.
And since Miss Jo isn’t allowed more than an hour screen time after school we play more games than watch TV.
I remember when my parents called it the boob tube. Now I know why!
I haven’t cooked much this week since it is not my turn. And the fast food 3 times is killing me.
I don’t feel as well as when I eat healthier and eat less.
As I spell check this there are way too many sentences that begin with “I”. That is something I strive hard to avoid and usually something I can do.
Know please that I think of all of you as I visit comments and posts.
It puts me in my happy place and thinking positive. That is what life is all about!
Have a great week. Stay stress free when possible and know none of you are ever truly alone.
I got you!!
Hugz.

Thank you Patrick.I hope your week is wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
Good for you for catching on so quickly! We had take out twice this weekend and I was so happy to get back to preparing my own meals yesterday as I too feel so much better when I eat healthier. Linking up as #107-109 this week.
It is still a long road ahead Joanne. Every “non-essential” option I am trying gives me trouble. Tech should no better ! I a glad healthy eating is a must in your home. I really do feel better when I eat healthy. Thank you for sharing and enjoy your weeek!
Hi Marilyn, I’m glad to hear you had a peaceful week, it sounds delightful. I spent some time with my kids this weekend and it felt good. I left a book review at #157, a food/cook book-just to prove I can write about something besides COVID-19, ha ha. Have a pleasant week everyone.
I am so glad you got to spend time with he kids. I have only seen my oldest twice in the last year. and my side not at all. hopefully we can find ways as a country to behave like adults and follow protocol. I look forward to the book review! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
HOpe your weeks get better and you find the right balance of down time and business. 🙂 Thanks for hosting us again. 🙂 I brought by some Cheddar Bacon Swirl Biscuits. Hope you enjoy!
For the first time since I started blogging I am giving my blogging a specific time period. There is a cretain feeling of anxiety but it is getting better! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
Hey Marilyn, I’m at 148, 149, 150 this week. Thanks for sharing what is happening at your house. The Gardener broke his foot, and I’m having even more empathy for you these days!
I had a broken foot Lisa!!! My sympathy to you. I hope all goes well. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
Hi Marilyn, thanks so for hosting! I am sharing at 130,0131, 133, and 134. Have a great week ahead! Like always you have been very busy…
Life is getting busier internet wise. I am about ready to hire Miss J as a social secretary. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
One of the best blogging features of a Mac is that you can use the Notes function on your iPhone and type or voice record your in-process steps as you are cooking/creating and then copy/paste them from the Notes function on your Mac into your blog post editor. Easy peasy! This week I’m linking up at 125 & 126. Have a great week!
I am going to have to check that out Marie!! I have had an iPhone for years but never used it for anything other than calls, messages and taking photos. There is so much of the internet I know nothing about. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
I am #133 sharing a recipe of Tuscan White Bean & Broccoli Rabe. Have a nice week Marilyn.
Sounds delicious Julie. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
Thank you for the party, I’m #119. Yes, the boob tube is definitely a great word for TV these days. I don’t watch any news at all, not even local news. The horrific bias and propaganda is so obvious. It’s not even “news” anymore. I long for the days when journalism used to be just about the “facts” and not opinion which swing only one way.
Good for you Amy. I know that whichever way someone leans on situations you aren’t getting a complete story. Like playing telephone as a kid. I see sometime on the future news will be just that. Facts. and it won’t be “entertainment”. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
Thanks for another wonderful party Marilyn, I hope you had a great weekend.
You are welcome Chas! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
Thank you for hosting the party. I’m glad to hear that you are getting more comfortable with your Mac. Believe me, I totally relate to the technology challenges. And I definitely think that the less TV and news, the better. Our links this week are: #90, #91, & #92. Have a peaceful week!
I thought I was on a roll. then today I was adding info in sheets and the cell wanted to more with me. Seems I deleted the entire cell! LOL
Thanks for hosting! I am 85-88 this week!
You are welcome Amber! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
I always enjoy these little glimpses into your life, Marilyn, especially during this time of being at home so much.
Tonight I shared a post on being kind (#9).
Have a good week and thanks for hosting!
Thank you Shannon. Sometimes I wonder about being too open. But I feel if I just touch one life in a good way then it is worth it. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!

Marilyn,
You are so sweet to feature my Crispy Zucchini Fries. Thank you! I am glad to hear you had a quiet week. Those are always nice. Glad to hear your MAC is coming along. It is different, but nice. I had one for awhile, then went back to a PC and now I am thinking about going back to the MAC.
Stay safe my friend.
Hugs,
Bev
You are welcome Bev. Congrats again! I am liking the mac but this OS is buggy. Signatures won’t stay and delete at will. And some windows won’t expand or scroll. Even Jo can’t do it. I wish you luck in switching. Working on a laptop is slowly coming back. LOL. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
Hey Marilyn!
Glad you had a quiet week. We long for those.
I am #’s 25-27: Looking Forward To 2021, Happenings on the Homestead #100, and You Warm My Heart Valentine Basket.
Have another good week!
Melissa | Little Frugal Homestead
Thank you Melissa. I look forward to the Valentine posts. Thanks for sharing each week!
Hi Marilyn
I am #24 this week. An interesting documentary I reviewed.
I am not a news addict, but I do like to stay informed. I hope our country can become not red or blue but return to the beautiful stars and stripes of liberty and freedom for all as it used to be.
I feel the same way. I think oversaturation is worse than no news at all. I like the Stars and Stripes of Liberty idea. Thanks for sharing each week!
Hi Marilyn,
Wow I actually got here early for a change, I am at #16,17,& 18 with all my recipes. Hope you have a fantastic week and thanks so much for the party!
Miz Helen
Welcome to the early bird buffet! I am thrilled you made it. Thanks for sharing each week!
I can relate!!!
Everything I learn needs to be written down. It’s just easier for me when I need to implement it.
Not and old age thing, it’s always been the way I roll.
My spots are #14 and #15 for the week.
Have and good one
RR
Thanks Rachelle. I am finding if I get distracted at all, my thoughts just fly out out of my head!LOL. Thanks for sharing each week!
Thank you for hosting, Marilyn. This week I’m at #’s 6, 7, and 8. Have a wonderful week and enjoy organizing that “blog stuff” 🙂
You are welcome Suzan. This party keeps me sane. Thanks for sharing each week!
