Now for the news around here.

I can’t believe how quickly this week has flown by.

I finally made all my Christmas packages for the year.

I am glad to be done. You know, having to sample something from each batch has made me gain 5 pounds.

For some reason I ended up baking only recipes I love. I make the same mistake every year.

I hope all the recipients enjoy them.

With the kids being older we just gift them $$ so they can use it as needed. And Miss Jo usually gets books.

I did a few extra gifts and now I am done.

Are you all finished with your shopping?

I know this Christmas will be different this year. But I am sure everyone will still enjoy thinking outside the box and enjoy the season.

Thank you all for partying with Bev and me this year.

We look forward to another great year ahead!

Happy Holidays!

Funny how that happens – we “have” to taste a cookie from each of the batches. Hehe! I always spend days in the kitchen prior to Christmas baking tons and tons of cookies, but this year, I decided no baking. I bought the gifts I was going to, and I have wrapping on my list for today.

Thank you Shannon! I need to check that out. This year Jovie and I went through and chose the last 6 books of a series from her favorite author. Yesterday her mom told me her Aunt bought them and is giving her one each holiday. So now I haver to figure out how to give a 12 year old an IOU for Christmas. Her parents give of their time, and her grandma and Aunt are out of state so she won’t get them at Christmas. There is so much more to Christmas than gifts, but it is fun for her to have something to open. Enjoy your week and stay safe!!

Jo and I spent a few days choosing the gifts she will give friends and family. She asked for these for herself and knows I bought them. So, returns and IOU’s and a sad little girl. That is so wonderful that you are making gift tins for the essential workers. And thanks so much for remembering all employees at the hospital – those of us in non-clinical are often overlooked. But we always say, the hospital couldn’t run without payroll, paying the bills, housekeeping, dietary, and HR!!!

Thank you Melissa. I have been a hotel maid, an HR rep and an insurance claims payor. All are unappreciated because they are the jobs people dont see. But they are the base of everything else. I try to never forget. Without that person on the phone, that housekeeping worker and etc, nothing would get done. They need to be remembered and are too easily forgotten. It should be quiet here, but I am doing so many more cookie tins this year I can’t keep up. Too many hospital employees, firefighters and other essential organizations just in my backyard. I am getting too old for this. Stay safe and thanks for sharing. Hugz.
