Now for the news around here.

I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday! It was quiet here.

I had a bit of trouble as the kids cooked.

I wanted to run over and take the reins, but I sat down and was silent. Not like me at all!!

We socially distanced by eating at 2 tables. My older son sat with my husband and I.
We had a double leaf in and he was at one end.

The hardest part was keeping our masks on for the 9 hours he was here.

As I had said before, he had self quarantined for 15 days so he could enjoy dinner with us.

I think all worked out well.

Everyone ate too much of course. And then everyone but my husband played Clue. It was fun.

I have been exhausted since then and am just resting.

I hope the up coming week treats you all well!

I am a day late to the party this week. Linking up a couple of Christmas decor ideas this week in links 113 & 114. We are in lockdown again. There are $1000 fines for anyone caught having visitors in their home in an attempt to bring the numbers down before Christmas. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that changes for the holidays. If so, I plan to do what you did for Thanksgiving with individual tables per family for Christmas Dinner. The thought of spending Christmas without our kids and grandkids is just too upsetting. Have a great week, Marilyn!

Wow. A fine! Good for them. It will let us get rid of the restrictions sooner. I do hope you can all get together. Distanced tables and masks worked well. It was hard not to hug though. I hope Christmas goes smoothly. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Have a safe week!

Hi Marilyn! Glad you were able to have Thanksgiving dinner with family. We basically had a “drive-by” lunch where everyone made a plate on their own. We’ve been distancing from my dad who was exposed because we don’t want to get sick. It’s been 2 weeks of lots of antiseptic wipes and frustration! I’m sharing 108 and 109.

Thank you Cindy. I hope your Thanksgiving was stress free. I am sure Christmas will be a bit harder. The only one not residing in my home is my eldest. And he will quarantine again. Not doing dinner on my birthday, Christmas and New Year is going to be unique. New Year is going to bring home the fact we lost our best friend of 40 years just before Thanksgiving. I will be writing about how his death could help others. Not being able to comfort his wife and kids will be heartbreaking. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!
