Now for the news around here.
Nothing much new happening around here.
Between the hot weather returning, a half day lost trying to get my arthritis to settle down, some gardening and rustling up a nicer vase and some colored flat pieces of glass for my pineapple plant, it was fairly quiet.
Miss J is taking riding lessons from her Auntie and having a ball.
Auntie was teaching the Equestrian team at the local high school. And all her life she has been show riding. They have 4 beautiful horses.
One is a mini horse that Auntie’s youngest girl rides. And Miss E and little E both ride in shows.
Jovie has always wanted to ride, so she is training to ride in competition.
It is fun to watch her lead and show her invisible horse around the house. This grandma thinks she will win if she does get the opportunity.
The horse has been trained and ridden in competition, so it is just Miss J that needs to get up to speed.
It is a fun and safe time she can spend with her cousins.
Mrs. A has a sister that has been going through a journey of infertility for 12 years. She now has an 18 month old and just 2 weeks ago had a transfer of her last embryo.
Fingers crossed she makes it through. But her numbers are extremely high so say a few prayers for her.
She has also been letting her little one learn to ride the mini horse. This child thinks it is HERS and is very protective. The cousin that owns the pony, even though she is only 5, is very forgiving of her little cousin. And they have developed a strong bond together.
It is heart warming to see these moments. Especially with all the negativity surrounding us.
I hope you are all finding times and ways to make some life long memories with loved ones.
Stay safe and see you as I visit your posts!!

Sweet little stories that tells us that there is a somewhat normal life out there. Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
I need to hold on to those little moments too. Hope you are doing well. What will school like when you start? I hope the district will have the bugs worked out. We have split the kids to face to face for some. And a Virtual Academy for others. But if things change, there is no crossovers. The face to face will work on studies they missed last year. The week is split up for the kids too. The teachers must be going crazy! Stay safe.
Hey Marilyn, Iʻm at 178, 179, 180 this week. I am so glad to hear this nice story of a little of normal life going on for the children.
Normalcy is good!! I’ll take it. Thanks LIsa for sharing and have a safe week!
Hello Marilyn! It sounds like the little miss is having fun, horses are so big and so lovable at the same time! I’m posted at #176 this week where I share how to make your own poster frame using scrap wood. Have a happy week! 🙂
Thanks DeeDee. That kid is fearless. And her love of animals of all kinds knows no boundaries. I hate buying picture frames!! I used to teach needlework of all kinds and then have “parties” like tupperware. I thought the frames were expensive. And I ran out of room really fast too. So I would set them up so you could turn them around. That made seasonal decorating very quick! I will be over taking notes soon. Thanks for sharing and have a safe week!
Thanks for hosting the party!! I’m so honored to have my pizza burger featured!!
You are welcome Helen! Congrats again. The only thing I like more than a burger is pizza! Pinned to my personal board. Have a good day!
Thanks for hosting! I am 161-164. Have a great week!
Thank you for sharing Amber. Enjoy your week!
My younger sister used to ride horses and is still obsessed with them. She would love nothing more than to own a stable full of them. Linking up as #122-124 this week.
We are in a very diverse neighborhood. Farms, sheep, llama, goats, wetlands, forests, lakes and golf courses. But on one side of our golf course is a stable for show horses and the other side is an orchard. I love walking to the stables and watching the horses graze in the fields and put through their paces in the rings. It is relaxing. Thanks for sharing Joann and enjoy your week!

Hi Marilyn, I have no family or personal experience with horses, I’ve only ridden one a few times in my life. But I love looking at them, they are splendid animals. I left a brand new post at #139 that I think is timely-using social media responsibly. Thanks for the chance to share.

Thanks for featuring my Balsamic Strawberry Gelato. (Although I think you called it cherry.) It’s one of my favorite flavor combos. Glad to hear a little more about your pineapple plant. How’s it doing? Thanks for hosting! I brought by some Caramelized Banana Bread. Hope you enjoy. 🙂
Dang it all! I remember missing it and had cherry on my mind. I will go fix that so there is no confusion! But congrats again CJ! Thanks for sharing at Over The Moon and enjoy your week!

I don’t know Amy. But seems my favorite things to do as a kid are not possible now. Bike riding, rollerskating and horseback riding. The body is just different! But I can still watch them. Thanks for sharing at Over The Moon and enjoy your week!
i Marilyn:
Just letting you know that I couldn’t leave a message tonight for “Over the Moon.” I tried several times and it kept saying “Spam deleted.” I’ve left comments many, many times before without issue so don’t know what the problem might be. Anyway, I’m #17 this week. Thanks so much!
I am so sorry Debbie you had trouble. Every once in a long while my plugin likes to pick on one of my commenters. It is mainly a fluke. Next time you come it will probably be just fine. Thanks for letting me know. Please don’t hesitate to leave a note so I can check it out! Thanks for sharing at Over The Moon and enjoy your week!
Hi Marilyn
I am sharing my favorite Colorado Green Chili recipe at #107 today!
We have an equestrian cente rwhere i live and I am hoping my oldest grandaughter will want to take lessons one day when she is a bit older. They offer western and English riding lessons. I can count on one hand the number of times I have been on a horse….lol….but I do love to visit them.
I hope you feel better soon. Stay healthy!
Pat.
Thank you Pat. She is riding a bit of English also. The saddle is just a bit big for her. But that girl never gives up on anything. I hope your granddaughter takes interest. It will be fun to go with her and watch all the kids faces. Thanks for sharing at Over The Moon and enjoy your week!
The riding lessons sound fun!

Welcome Leslie!! You came to the right place. Gluten Free bloggers do very well here. And I am always looking for GF as my granddaughter has become intolerant. None of my recipes are good for her. Hi, Marilyn, I am at 9 and 74. And I am hoping life will slow down here now that school is about to begin.
Me too Michele. JO is online learning this year. She starts tomorrow! It will be fun since she has her very own “classroom” in the den. I am getting kicked out, but she has made it so cute!! Her mom the crafter helped a lot. Thank you for sharing at Over The Moon. Have a great week!
