Now for the news around here.
I am making progress in my audiobook, Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. So far I love this book. It is a prequel to the Hunger Games. And it starts on the 10th year of the games. I like how the story intertwines between this era and the three book series. It gives meaning to how PanAm became the state it is and how the two revolutions came about. No more hints!!
It has become a unanimous consensus that Grandma shouldn’t be taught new games when she is hungry, tired or preoccupied. This is a good thing. Grandma gets flustered easily and needs flash cards to remember the progress of the game. She also frequently uses the wrong card or letter when playing Scategories.
Decisions about the return to school are still being considered. The schools are Leader In Me schools they are modeled off the Steven Covey principles and most of the kids are Type A personalities. You can imagine keeping them all focused on the task at hand. Our district is more about pomp and circumstance than how it will maintain the direction they want to go. We are a wealthy district as far as budget, but there is a definite breakdown in how to obtain their lofty goals. I think this is no isolated instance.
The blogging world is still going strong. I see a lot of ingenuity and a lot of redefining unwritten rules. The popular subject I see is how to rebrand blogs. It is refreshing to see all the growth. I have always said bloggers are resilient and some of the best people to be around. Most are welcoming and helpful. They are understanding where it is needed. And they have a way of banding together to get things done.
I count you all in my blessings. I hope you are all staying positive, safe, and healthy!
