OTM Three Hosts

Welcome to the Over the Moon Link Party! Have a post you want to give more reach? Need some comments or shares? Want a post that’s close to going viral to take off like a rocket? Now is the time to link it up!

Did you miss last weeks Over The Moon? You can find it at Over The Moon 131.

We pin EVERY link you leave in our comment section with the post title or number of the inlinkz. And we will return your comment as we visit those posts! So come on in, be one of the first to link up, and remember to go Over the Moon with us!

Now for the news around here.

I am always so impressed by the posts of our party goers. There is so much talent out there. When I was younger I used to do a lot of ceramic work, needlework and even refinished a baby grand piano. That was my first hand at refinishing and as you can expect my last! I always jump into things both feet first. Our sub had its garage sale last week, so of course all big items not sold have ended up on the street. I just had to grab this recliner! Other than the color it was in mint condition. I convinced Mr Treats to load it in the SUV and drive the few blocks home. Well, he was watching that little camera shot as he was backing into the garage and didn’t realize the open lift gate wouldn’t clear the opening. After the worst sound in the world he jumped out to see the damage. Well long story short my free recliner rocker is costing me $1400. So instead of paying to have the chair updated I need some great advice on how to convert the ugly gold faux leather with orange and green glitter into something beautiful. This picture makes it look much more appealing.

Sorry to hear about the smush up for the truck.

A few years back I was given a gift certificate to a mosaic class. I went, had a lovely time working on a project, and then promptly got a big speeding ticket on the way home.

Every time I look at my little mosaic dog hanging on the wall I think about how expensive that “free” class was. 🙂

I hate parking violations. And they can be so expensive! I bet that little dog is one of your favorite pieces. And pants from jeans? I am all over that! Enjoy your week.

Oh no, I feel your pain, Marilyn! Your hearts must’ve just sunk. As for the expensive FREE recliner did you know you can chalk paint the leather to change the color and paint the wood? Super easy – super inexpensive. Speaking of the wonders of chalk paint, thank you so much for featuring my Red Painted Antique Bookcase 🙂 This week I’m sharing these links 156, 157, 158 – it’s all about refreshing our back deck.

Oh no! I’m so sorry that happened. As for the chair, all I’ve ever seen is people painting that type of chair, but I’ve always wondered how it would feel. A painted chair doesn’t seem that comfortable. It will be interesting to see what you do with it.

I am scared to try, but nothing ventured nothing gained. Thanks Amy. I have had a few suggest the paint. Enjoy your week.

Oh no! Sorry that happened. I’ve seen some great paint makeovers of leather/vinyl/faux leather chairs. I haven’t tried it myself though. I know there are specific paints that you can buy that should work. Thanks for the party. I hope you have a great week, Marilyn. I linked up at #148 and 149.

Thank Beverly!! I will look some up. I suppose I can try underneath the chair and see how that bit turns out. It is worth a look! Thanks. Enjoy your week.

    Marilyn,
Oh no, that is terrible. I know what Mister C would be saying. Yikes!! I have heard and seen lots of talk about painting chairs. I have never seen one up close, but they say it turns out really nice. Might google that and see if it is something you might try.
    Hugs,
    Bev

I will look that up. I am wondering if it will crack or hold up in the heat? I was going to put up a shot of the tailgate, but sometimes my husband reads my posts. I took a chance just telling the story! LOL. Thanks for the advice. I will let you know!
