Chocolate Chip muffins. Warm and fresh from the oven. A simple treat that satisfies every craving you have.

Chocolate Chip Muffins ~Chocolate Chips. This is the twin to my Blueberry Muffins but for the ingredient that gives them their name. Muffins are so quick and easy to prepare. Only one bowl to dirty and cleanup is almost done once they hit the oven. The aroma that gently permeates the air, the smiles on the faces of loved ones as they anticipate that timer to ring. These are the memories that keep me baking each and every day. Now is the season keep that oven going and help warm up the house! What are you going to bake today?

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the first four ingredients. In a small bowl, beat egg, milk and oil. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups three-fourths full. Bake at 400° for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack. Yield: 1 dozen.

    Yummy! I love muffins because they are like cake without the guilt. I might have to use the big boy chips though since I love chocolate.

      Rachel, I only used mini chips because I had some leftover. I tend to always double or triple my chips when baking. Throws off my whole calorie count! But I do hear you on the chocolate thing! Thanks for commenting!

    Not only do I have reason to bake because we are getting closer and closer to holiday season, but I have pregnancy related sweet tooth! This is just too tempting!

      I always have a sweet tooth! My recipes are going to be holiday related for a while so beware! These are good, and much to quick to make! You can be eating them in less than 25 minutes! Thanks for commenting!
