Banana Cream Pudding

When you have that craving for something sweet and you want it now, this is your go to dessert.

Believe me when I call this a keeper!

This Banana Cream Pudding is rich and creamy and is an easy 1-2-3 preparation.

It will hit that sweet spot and quench that craving for a sweet treat!

I know the recipe calls for instant pudding.

And some of you may prefer your own homemade or even regular pudding you cook on the stove.

I prefer those too when I have time or am taking the dish to a party or picnic.

You just can’t come close to instant though when you need the deert now.

Or if it is a last minute dish for an occasion that starts in 15 minutes and you forgot to prepare something.

These are the INGREDIENTS you will need:

  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 2 3.4 oz JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
  • 30 vanilla wafers
  • 3 medium bananas, sliced
  • 1 tub 8 oz. COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

These are the INSTRUCTIONS for preparation:

  • Beat pudding mixes and milk with whisk 2 min. Let stand 5 min.
  • Arrange half the wafers on bottom and up side of 2-qt. serving bowl.
  • Top with layers of half each of the banana slices and pudding. Repeat all layers.
  • Cover with COOL WHIP.
  • Refrigerate 3 hours.

NOTES:

You may use Dream Whip or any other type of whipped cream in place of Cool Whip.

The kids love this treat. I sometimes put bananas around the bowl to make the presentation even more special.

When the kids come home from school or an event where they have earned a special mention or received some sort of accolade, it makes them proud you are recognizing that effort.

Kids need to realize you care and see when their efforts pay off.

Doing something special and also creating a warm memory is something they will never forget.

It also teaches them to appreciate moments like these and do the same for their own kids.

A tangible act and sweet surprise goes farther than a “good job”, or “that is nice sweetie.”

They will smile inside as they devour this sweet surprise.

And you will enjoy the moment just as much as your kids.

Puddings remind me of my Mom, she often made a pudding for a quick dessert. This looks good.
