Have you ever had a Purple Sweet Potato? I haven’t but I read they are very popular and not too hard to find. The colorful and nutritious root veggies can be used in any recipe that calls for the more common orange sweet potato. In my effort to eat healthier I am trying to replace unhealthy ingredients with the more nutritious, heart healthy organic substitutes. My first step to health was eating smaller portion sizes. I started putting my food on a smaller luncheon plate instead of the oversize dinner plate. It may be psychological but seeing my meal filling that plate makes me feel full and satisfied. Now I am on healthy substitutes. Does anyone have any other baby steps to a healthier lifestyle habit? Please leave them in the comments below.
